If you are searching for the perfect Valentine’s Day hike, here are 3 of the Go Hike It team’s favorites. We will not promise any cupid sightings, but hopefully you’ll discover your own romance along the way!

 

3) San Clemente Beach Trail 

This Southern California gem is at the tip of Southern Orange County and is perfect for hikers of all levels. The out and back trail is approximately 5-6 miles, depending on how far you venture. However, you can also make this a short beach hike and enjoy a short 1-2 miles along the coastline. The trail features beautiful views of the beach and water. For a post hike date, The Fishmermans Restaurant on the pier features scenic views of the water or Nick’s on Avenida Del Mar features quality handcrafted cocktails.

2) Point Magu Hiking Trail

If you’re looking to get away from it all and see how far Cupid’s arrow will travel, the Point Magu Hiking Trail is perfect for you! This beach trail is at the northern tip of Malibu and features incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. At times, you will feel as if you are in a remote region of Baja California as Point Magu is away from the beach homes and popular restaurants of Southern Malibu. For a fun date spot, check out Neptune’s Net, which features fresh local seafood in a diverse picnic table atmosphere.

1) Newport Coast – Crystal Cove Hiking Trail 

If you want to open your heart in the heart of Orange County, check out this Crystal Cove Hike. Starting at the Ridgeline street entrance, this hiking trail connects to the diverse trails of Crystal Cove and is perfect for hikers of all levels. Feel free to pack a picnic and enjoy the beauty with your beauty!
