Spring is here and it’s time get hiking!

Compared to summer or fall, spring’s cooler temperatures make it an ideal time to explore surrounding trails and take advantage of less crowded areas. Over the years, the Go Hike It team has shared a several hikes and here are a few of our favorites.

3) Bridge To Nowhere Hike: As the saying goes, “wherever you go, there you are.” The Bridge to Nowhere may be the destination, but it’s the trails fun switch back across the San Gabriel Valley and River, which make it a memorable adventure. The trail is recommended for intermediate and experienced hikers, as it takes about 4-5 hours to complete the 11 mile round-trip adventure. If you’re feeling brave, you can even bungee jump off the bridge!

2) Palm Canyon Oasis: Let’s face it, the best time to visit the desert is during the late fall, winter or early spring. As the Coachella & Stagecoach season heat up, the Palm Canyon Oasis is a perfect spot to relax and cool down. The oasis features approximately 2-3 miles of round-trip trails underneath the shade of the towering palms. If you are feeling brave, you can venture out of the oasis and continue hiking into the heart of the Palm Spring desert. Just make sure you have plenty of water and sunscreen.

1)  Carlsbad Flower Fields: The Flower Fields rank #1 on our list, because they are only open during the spring and feature brilliant seasonal flowers. The trail is short and doesn’t require effort, but the colorful spectrum of colors make it beautiful backdrop for hikers.
